Chiropodology
What does it consist of?
This branch of podiatry provides solutions to a wide range of foot problems such as the following:
- Micosis
- Ingrown toenails: The treatment of onychocryptosis will depend on the stage of the disease. The initial treatment will be conservative, cutting the nail straight across and removing the spicule that causes the pain.
In patients with recurrent onychocryptosis, we also carry out nail re-education treatments such as metal orthonyxies or brackets, thus preventing the nail from digging in.
- Helomas (Chicken eyes)
- Hyperkeratosis (calluses or corns)
